2013: Carlsberg signs a contract permitting beer production in Myanmar. Carlsberg enters a joint venture with local partner Myanmar Golden Star (MGS) in order to construct a new brewery. 

11th October 2013, the first soil for the new brewery in Bago is cut .

2015: The new brewery is finished. Carlsberg launches three brands in Myanmar, Tuborg, Carlsberg and the new local brand YOMA.

3rd April 2015, first Carlsberg draught outlet opens.

2017: Carlsberg launches a new beer - YOMA Special Brew - to accompany the existing YOMA premium.

2017: 1000+ Carlsberg draught outlets in operation
